Samples
Occasionally, sample products will be available to give you the opportunity to try our food before you buy. While we do our best to offer the products listed, entrees may be swapped out for a similar entree based on availability. The samples are non-refundable.
Ordering
As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation via e-mail. This means that we have received your order in our system and charged your credit card for the sale. If your item is on backorder or unavailable we will reach out to you via e-mail. Please take into account any shipping delays that are mentioned during your checkout process.To ensure the quickest possible delivery, items in your order may be shipped separately.

If your order has shipped and you need to cancel your order, you (the buyer) will be responsible for actual return shipping charges. Shipping
Packages are shipped Monday through Friday. We are occasionally closed on holidays but will have away messages assigned when our offices and warehouse are closed.
Please take into account any shipping delays that are mentioned during your checkout process. To ensure the quickest possible delivery, items in your order may be shipped separately.
Customers outside the lower 48 US states are able to purchase but are responsible for any duty and import taxes that may apply.
Valley Food Storage reserves the right to choose the most economical method of shipping, from traditional to freight.
Occasionally, Valley Food Storage will offer free shipping incentives. Unfortunately, free shipping will not apply to Hawaii or Alaska under any circumstance. Valley Food Storage also has the right to add shipping costs to any orders over $10,000.
We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provide when checking out. If you do not receive tracking information from us within six business days of your order feel free to follow up with us at info@valleyfoodstorage.com
1. Backorders: If you order items are labeled as currently backordered, we will ship the items out as soon as the product becomes available.
PO Boxes, Delivery and Responsibility of Carrier
Unfortunately, it is impossible for us to know what PO Boxes will accept or hold potentially large packages. If a package is undeliverable and returned to us, we will contact you to request alternative shipping options and to invoice you for reshipment costs (within reason).
If a package is marked as delivered but you don’t have it, please contact the USPS, FedEx or the corresponding freight forwarder to inquire about the package. We are unable to take responsibility for packages lost or stolen after delivery. Once the product leaves our warehouse, it is the responsibility of the carrier.
Shipping and Carrier Information
While we make every attempt to allow for multiple shipping options, the contents of your order will sometimes dictate the shipping methods required.
Single packs of food will generally be sent via our partnership with DHL and the USPS. DHL will pick up the package and deliver to the nearest hub to your town and hand the package off to the United States Postal Service, who will make the final delivery. Though DHL/USPS is the typical handler for smaller orders, you can choose USPS Priority or FedEx for a faster shipment.
Any order including a bucket will automatically ship FedEx, unless the order is large enough that it has to ship on a pallet. If an order must be palletized, we will work to coordinate and connect you and our freight forwarder so your delivery can be made at a safe and convenient time for you.
Order Tracking?
Tracking is usually emailed within minutes of the label being printed. Please note while the tracking number may have been generated, the number will likely show an error until the carrier (DHL, USPS, FedEx, etc…) picks up and scans the package - even then, they sometimes take longer to activate. Please allow for one business day for tracking numbers to activate.
Returns/Exchanges
Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive. If you notice any damage, you should make note of it when signing for delivery. If your item(s) do arrive damaged, please send photos to info@valleyfoodstorage.com and we will process an insurance claim on your behalf.
We offer a 30-day return policy. If you are within 30 days of purchase, send us an email at info@valleyfoodstorage.com. Once approved, send your item to: Valley Food Returns 115 W Barges Street in Suite 401, Akron OH 44311 USA. Shipping costs are non-refundable and the customer will be responsible for return shipping charges.
Food items
We will process a return and refund the cost of unused and unopened food, if the food is returned in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Non-food items
To be eligible for a return, your unused and unopened items must be in the same condition that you received them. It must also be in the original packaging. Several types of goods are exempt from returns, such as Gift Cards.
Refunds (if applicable)
We offer a 30-day return policy. If you are within 30 days of purchase, send us an email at info@valleyfoodstorage.com. Once approved, send your item to: Valley Food Returns 115 West Bartges St. Suite 401 Akron, OH 44311 USA.
Once we receive and inspect your return we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. Once processed, please allow 3-5 business days for bank processing time of your refund.
Final Sale items (if applicable)
Final Sale and Clearance items cannot be refunded or returned.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only exchange items if they are defective or damaged and must be done within 30 days of delivery. Outside of 30 days, no exchanges will be accepted. Please email us at info@valleyfoodstorage.com with a photo and description of the damage.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you may contact us to initiate an exchange for a damaged item. If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, the purchaser will need to initiate the process. For returns, a refund will be issued to the original method of payment.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. We also reserve the right to apply a 20% restocking fee for large orders. If you are shipping an item valued over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.
Where's my Refund?
If you haven’t received a refund after 3 weeks of confirmation, first check with your bank or credit card company. It may take some time before your refund is posted. If you’ve taken these steps, please contact us at info@valleyfoodstorage.com.
Subscribe and Save
How does Subscribe & Save Work?
A VFS Subscription allows you to build your storage over time while saving 10% off each reoccurring order + free shipping. Your card will be charged and your order shipped automatically every 30 days until you cancel.
How Can I Cancel My Order?
Cancel anytime, hassle-free, by emailing info@ValleyFoodStorage.com, calling 1-800-403-8182, or by logging in to your account. You will be reminded of your subscription order 3 days prior to your charge. If you cancel before your next order is shipped, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel after your order has shipped, you will be refunded, minus the cost of shipping to return the product.
Accepted Forms of Payment
We happily accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover and PayPal. We can also accept incoming wire transfers - please reach out to Jordan@valleyfoodstorage.com to discuss your order.
What if my Payment is Declined?
If your payment is declined, please reach out to your bank. To ensure the security of your information, we are unable to share any information about declined transactions over the phone.

Shelf Life and Manufacturing Dates
Shelf Life
Unless otherwise stated, Valley Food Storage is processed and packed to last for 25 years when stored properly. Opening, tampering or improperly storing food will significantly decrease the duration.
Best Storing Practices
It is suggested to keep your food stored in a cool, dry, and stable environment. For added protection, food pouches should be stored in a heavy-duty bucket or container.
Mylar Bags, Oxygen Absorbers & Buckets
All our products are enclosed in resealable mylar bags and include an FDA approved 100cc oxygen absorber. The oxygen absorber holds any remaining oxygen in the bag, and will continue to work when resealed after use.
In using Mylar bags, we offer a lightweight, durable and shelf-stable packaging. Compared to canned food which can leach into your food over time, Mylar does not have this effect over time.
Our buckets allow for protection against exposure to water, protects the bags from damage, and are easy to grab and go as needed.
Oxygen Absorber
All of our food include a food-safe Oxygen Absorber. These are meant to be discarded, and should not be opened or consumed.
The contents of an Oxygen Absorber include elemental iron filings. If accidentally digested the amount included could cause some distress for a small dog or cat under 15 pounds, but a single ingested packet is unlikely to have an adverse effect on a human.
Symptoms can occur from one to five days after exposure. Any owners of smaller animals that ingest an oxygen absorber should call their vet if they suspect their pet may be having a reaction. If you or a loved one accidentally ingest the contents of an oxygen absorber and are having any adverse reactions yourself please call your doctor.
